Text: 2 Corinthians 8,9 The Macedonian Churches were persecuted and very poor. In spite of this they show us how to be a true servant giver.

PRINCIPLES OF GIVING:

ANONIMOUSLY: 2 Cor. 8:1 There is no mention of a particular church No mention of names A great proof of true servanthood is anonymity

VOLUNTARILY: 2 Cor. 8:3,4 ".I can testify that they did it because they wanted to and not because of nagging on my part. They begged us to take the money so they could share in the joy of helping the Christians in Jerusalem."

PERSONALLY: 2 Cor. 8:5 "And this they did, not as we have hoped, but first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God." GENEROUSLY: 2 Cor 8: 3 "For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing."

BLESSINGS: "He who is generous will be blessed." Prov. 22:9 "..he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully." 2 Cor. 9:6 "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, have abundance for every good work." 2 Cor. 9:8

Invitation: To give ourselves to Jesus as He gave Himself for us to be a true Servant giver.
