HOW CAN I STOP WORRYING

WHY PEOPLE WORRY?
- bout things that have already happened (past) If the past involves
sin, there is forgiveness, Is. 55:7
- About things that will never happen (future). Mark Twain: "I
have worried over a great many things in life, the most of which
never happened."
- About things that will inevitably happened Getting older; dying;
living too long.
- 8% of all the worries come true.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE EFFECTS OF WORRYING?
- Makes you miserable, brakes your spirit, "A merry heart does good,
like medicine but a broken spirit dries the bones." Prov.17:22
- Makes you sick: headaches, fatigue, asthma, high blood pressure,
stomach ulcers and many other illnesses.
- Makes your prayers of no use, lack of faith, James 1:5,6
- Kills you, E.G.White, Letter 208,1903
- You are considered a Gentile (heathen, pagan), Matt. 6:32
HOW CAN I STOP WORRYING?
- ccept Jesus' commandment: "Do not worry," Matt. 6:31
- Put Jesus first, Matt. 6:33
- Accept yourself, Matt. 6:27
- Live one day at a time, Matt 6:34
- Cast all your burdens on the Lord, 1 Pet. 5:7
- Plan your week, your month, your year.
- Trust God, He knows what you need, Matt. 6: 32; Jer. 17:7,8
MARTHA AND MARY, Luke 10:38-42: Martha put things first, she was worried;
Mary put Jesus first, she was at peace . Which one of the two examples
would you like to follow?
