Series of Sermons on Healing For Damage Emotions, #3
Frank Ottati

".for the Lord delights in you." Isaiah 62:4
"Since you were precious in My sight, you have been honored, and I have loved you." Is. 43:4

While God considers each one of us precious and His delight, Satan considers us worthless and inferior and presents us as a distorted mirror image. Who would you believe?
Satan's deadliest weapon: develops in us a feeling of inferiority, inadequacy and low self worth, called, low self-esteem.

What are the effects of low self-esteem in the believer?
1. Paralyzes your potential Hides your talents. Afraid to use them. Matt. 25:25
2. Petrifies your dreams Grasshopper syndrome. Numbers 13:31-33
3. Poisons your relationships With God, Matt. 22:37 With others, Matt. 22:39 The moment you put yourself down, it won't take too long to put down Who made you. The hardest people to get along with are those who don't like themselves. Since they don't like themselves, they don't like others.
4. Pins down your Christian service Excuses: "Who am I," Exodus 3:11 "Suppose they will not believe me.."Exodus 4:1

"I am not eloquent..I am slow of speech." Ex. 4:10 "Please send another person." Exodus 4:13

Satan the accuser, the deceiver, wants us to believe that we are no body, inferior, worth nothing, and that you can't do a thing for the Lord! This is a lie! It is Satan's deadliest weapon!

How can we counteract Satan's lie?
1. By Submitting to God, James 4:7
2. By believing in Jesus' word, Matt. 4:1-10
3. By believing that we have been bought with a high price: Jesus' blood, 2 Peter 1:18,19
4. By accepting Jesus' words, we are his sons/daughters, John 1:12
5. By knowing we are considered as kings and queens for Jesus, Rev. 1:6

Invitation: Ask the Lord to increase our faith and to believe His word: "we are precious in His sight."
